The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is the principle trade association in the U.S. and Canada for manufacturers of recreational boats and marine products used by millions of boaters. The association serves its members by improving the business environment for recreational boating including providing domestic and international sales and marketing opportunities, reducing unnecessary government regulation, decreasing the cost of doing business, and helping grow boating participation.
NMMA manages Discover Boating, a national consumer awareness program on behalf of the recreational boating industry. Discover Boating programs focus on improving the boating experience and building interest in recreational boating. NMMA also is the largest producer of boat and sport shows in the U.S. NMMA connects the recreational boating industry with the boating consumer year-round.
The Senior Digital manager will be the Discover Boating digital ambassador. This person will lead NMMA’s Discover Boating Program to new heights leveraging marketing technology.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead Discover Boating’s digital marketing strategy
Lead Discover Boating’s technology strategy
Help develop DB’s nurture strategy using DB’s marketing automation tool
Work collaboratively with agency to meet and exceed Manufacturer Referral/lead goals
Work collaboratively with Public Relations Team to understand and optimize top of the funnel to mid-funnel digital tactics, including social and content
Work collaboratively with content manager to identify and fill content gaps to enhance the customer journey
Develop and deliver regular digital marketing results and socialize internally
Participate and sometimes facilitate interdepartmental meetings with management teams
Support Director of Digital Marketing in Web on all projects related to DB
Build relationships with Grow Boating Board Members
Responsible for handling customer facing issues that arise with DB.com
Be a digital thought leader both internally and externally
BA or BS Required
Boating experience preferred
Extremely proficient in both verbal and written communication skills
Strong background in all things digital
Experience working with CMS (Drupal is preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Solid proficiency in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, & Programmatic Buying (Certifications preferred)
Strong experience with paid social media campaigns
Proven experience working on a high touch consumer brand
Love and embrace data
Agency experience preferred
Experience in using Marketo
Master of Power Point is a must
Experience in using Hotjar or Optimizely
