Ahoy there—the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and the world’s largest recreational boating trade association, is in need of an awesome Director, Digital Marketing & Web on our Chicago office crew.
As the recreational boating’s leading trade association, we manage the industry’s national consumer marketing campaign - Discover Boating (discoverboating.com.) and produce more than eighteen consumer boat shows coast to coast, each show has its own website and you’ll be working on all of them.
If you are an enthusiastic, energetic person in search of a job that promotes fun and recreation, we’d love to have you onboard! This position works closely with the Show Marketing Director, SVP of Communications/CCO and reports to the Chief Marketing Officer/SVP Marketing.
Objective: This position will champion all digital and web efforts for our boat shows, our association and national brand – Discover Boating.
Key Areas of responsibility: Web sites (20+), SEO/SEM, Nurture/lead/email efforts, GA, digital and web development teams.
Manage digital marketing/technology efforts of boat shows, association and Discover Boating and oversee all digital and web development staff
Oversee development, execution and optimization of SEM/SEO strategies
Establish lead nurture/email strategy for organization utilizing platforms like Marketo, Exact Target
Demonstrated understanding of lead generation strategies including inbound marketing
Analyze the productivity and effectiveness of all digital and web efforts and develop meaningful metrics and reports to be distributed to internal and external stakeholders
Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams; works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization
Oversees web development programmers and software architect.
Social Media role to be determined based on selected candidate.
Other duties as assigned by CMO
Demonstrated experience with Google Analytics, and all digital and social media monitoring platforms
Strong ability to multi-task and track detailed information
Outstanding client service management skills
Proficient in all areas of desktop computing, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Email Marketing software like Marketo, Exact Target and content management systems like Drupal.
Detail oriented, team player, strategic thinker
Prior management experience of at least one direct report
Cross-functional team participation and program development/project management skills
Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as stellar presentation skills
Proven strong interpersonal, collaboration and leadership skills; ability to interface with all levels of management
Demonstrated strategic, analytical, quantitative and critical thinking experience
Self-driven to achieve goals, high energy level is essential, strong, dedicated work ethic
7-10 in Marketing and/or Advertising agency experience.
Travel required 10%
